Dr Bhavika Rishi is a medical scientist and pathologist whose work spans hematology, molecular pathology, oncology, and child health research. With expertise in hemato-oncology, oncopathology, and anemia, she focuses on leukemia diagnostics, epigenetic mechanisms, drug-resistant leukemia models, and prognostic biomarker discovery.

She holds an MD in Pathology from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, and has completed an Electron Microscopy Observership at AIIMS, New Delhi. Her professional journey includes a Senior Residency at Lady Hardinge Medical College. She is a life member of MPAI and ISHBT and has mentored postgraduate trainees and early-career investigators, contributing to capacity building in pathology and translational research.

As Principal Investigator, she has led innovative projects on MIS-C biomarkers in children exposed to SARS-CoV-2, development of 3D tumor models for pediatric drug-resistant leukemia, and digital health interventions for metabolic syndrome in underserved urban communities. As Co-PI, she has contributed to national programs in tuberculosis control, Apex Molecular Diagnostic Facility, stem cell evidence synthesis, and multicentric childhood leukemia survival studies.

She is driven by a commitment to improving child health through innovative research focused on early disease detection, risk stratification, and improved therapeutic outcomes.
